Nancy O'Dell's first work in the industry of broadcast was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston reporting and co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving to Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor on weekends. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
